Welcome to the fascinating world of sports from my brain. The first entry will be my look at the NFL vs. NFLPA collective bargaining problems and how to fix it.
OK, I've had enough; I know exactly how to solve the NFL labor situation. Owners want an extra billion off the top of the 9 billion in shared revenue, which is crazy money. So give them 400-500 million a sizable chunk, in exchange for that the owners drop the stupid 18 game schedule that no one except the owners want due to the injury factor and the fact that players get burnt out enough already. From there you allow for there to be a two year extension onto the NFL retired players health fund from 5 years to 7 years to help the players that either get hurt or just cant keep playing and give them a little bit more support. In compromise with that allow at the same time for the owners to implement the rookie wage scale. That way guaranteed contracts for rookies are only three years so the players that bust out like JaMarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf who were very expensive high draft picks, that didn't pan out, don't drain a team's assets because the player decides to not live up to potential or they get an injury that causes them to just sit on the damn bench for those three years. Compromise, its a system that we've learned since we were all 4 or 5 years old, a surprising concept i know, but its not that hard to do,damn it gets old when grown ass men get so greedy, its not just the owners its also the players, a collective bargaining agreement, is just that, an agreement that you have to give up certain things to get others. It should never have to be decided or monitored by a federal mediator or even have a use for one. Put away the damn ego, and realize how stupid y'all are being decertification and a lockout are the dumbest things you can do with the most popular sport right now. It makes so much damn money, greed doesn't solve anything other than people becoming complete morons. If they decide to have to have the 18 game season here's what they need to do to compromise the situation. They need to expand the team roster from 53 to 75 and the game day active from 45 to 60, that way players can be a little bit more protected and also would create more jobs, and save injuries something can be solved with a little thought and some damn compromise.
